Practice Management

Miss Tara Moylan  Practice Manager

Mrs Sue Hay Deputy Practice Manager

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Administration

Mrs Trish Jones, Prescription Coordinator - Tel 01743 266782

Trish facilitates the repeat prescribing process in the practice and liaises with pharmacies and care homes to ensure patients receive their medication items in a timely manner.

Mrs Georgina Watson, Operations & Finance Manager - Tel 01743 266782

Georgina coordinates our recalls for patients with chronic diseases and long term conditions and manages waiting lists for minor surgery and family planning procedures.

We also have an admin team who ensure that patient electronic medical records are kept up to date with any information received from other healthcare providers.  They also deal with financial claims, processing third party requests for reports and carry out searches and practice audits.

Becky Kelly - Community & Care Coordinator

We recognise that some individuals just need a bit more support, whether they've just come out of hospital, are lonely, caring for someone or need extra help with day to day activities.   Becky can signpost patients to the many services already available in the community for social and health needs, or to help them cope better with their everyday lives.

We have just introduced a health check for carers aged 40 - 74 years as we feel it is important to encourage the good health and wellbeing of people who fulfil such an important role.  Initially the carer has their health check with our healthcare assistant to screen for any risks of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney disease or diabetes.

Following the check, the carer will receive personalised advice from Becky regarding any non-clinical matters. This is an opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns they may have about being a carer and find out if there is anything in the community that could make their role as a carer easier.

If you would like more information about any of the services provided or feel that someone you know may benefit, ask for your GP or nurse to refer you to Becky.

Reception

Deborah Fitzsimmons - Patient Services Manager

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquiries and processing paperwork for the patient medical records.
